appstills is built and run by one person. Write to vik.ceb.dev@gmail.com for a refund, a question, or to close your account. That address is the fastest route to all three, and it is read by the person who wrote the code.

What the service does

You give appstills a screen recording of your app. Frames are pulled from it in your browser, you choose which ones to submit, and we score them, write a headline and a subtitle for the best ones, and render finished screenshots at App Store dimensions. The judgement is made by a model, so the result is a draft made quickly, not a designer’s promise. If a screen is wrong, swap it and re-render at no cost.

Free runs

You can generate a set without an account. The first screenshot is shown in full and the rest stay blurred until you sign in and spend a credit. Free runs are limited to one per browser and three per address each day, with a daily total across everyone, so that the free tier survives. Those limits can change without notice.

Credits

One credit is one generation of one recording: choosing the screens, writing the copy, and rendering every style you picked. Bigger sets cost more, and you are charged for the screens delivered, never for the number you asked for.

Changing a style, swapping a screen and re-rendering cost nothing. Credits do not expire while your account is open. They are not money, cannot be transferred, and cannot be exchanged for cash except under the refund rules below.

Prices and tax

Packs are priced in US dollars and shown on the pricing page. Where we are required to charge VAT or a sales tax it is added at checkout and shown before you pay. Payment is taken by Stripe.

Refunds and your right to withdraw

Consumers in the UK and the European Economic Area have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. We apply that in the simplest way we can:

• Unspent credits are refunded in full within 14 days of purchase. Email us and we will return the money to the card you paid with.
• Spent credits are not refundable. Spending a credit delivers the generation, and a generation cannot be returned.

By buying a pack you ask for the credits to be usable immediately, and you accept that the right to withdraw is lost for each credit at the moment you spend it. If something went wrong on our side, write to us anyway. A run that failed or produced nothing usable will be put right or refunded.

Your recording and your screenshots

You keep every right in your app, your recording and the screenshots we produce. You are free to publish them on the App Store, Google Play or anywhere else, including commercially. You give us permission to process the frames you submit for the sole purpose of producing your set, and to store the rendered screenshots for the retention period in the privacy notice. We will not use your screenshots to promote appstills without asking you first.

What you agree not to do

• Submit a recording of an app you have no right to record and publish.
• Submit material that is unlawful, or that infringes somebody else’s rights.
• Work around the free-run limits, or use the service through automated means at scale.
• Resell appstills output as a screenshot service of your own.

We can suspend an account that does any of these. Credits bought in good faith and not yet spent are refunded if we close your account for a reason that is not your fault.

Availability

appstills is a small product and it is offered as it is. We do not promise it will be available at a particular moment, that a given recording will yield a usable set, or that the copy a model writes will suit your listing. App stores make their own decisions about what they accept, and we cannot promise a listing will be approved.

Liability

Where the law allows us to limit it, our total liability to you is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We do not exclude liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are untouched by anything on this page.

Ending it

Stop whenever you like. Delete sets from Your sets, or write to us and we will close the account and remove what is left. Unspent credits at that point are refundable only inside the 14-day window above.

Changes and law

If these terms change, the date at the top changes, and credits you already hold keep the terms they were bought under. If you are a consumer, the law of the country you live in applies to this contract, and nothing on this page takes that protection away.
